It also explains fall protection components which include anchorages, body harnesses, lanyards and deceleration devices, and important concepts as free fall distance, leading edges, holes, openings and other dangerous material. It explains the situations where the fall protection fails and other control systems needs to be used to protect the workers. It also addresses employee training requirements outlined in OSHA regulations §1926.503 to ensure workers are competent in recognizing fall hazards, choosing proper protective systems, and responding to other possible fall situations. Program Duration
The program is designed to offer flexible online learning with a minimum instructional contact time of 8 hours. Most learners successfully complete the course within one month, allowing them to progress at their own pace while balancing professional commitments.
Examination
Candidates can take this exam through an assigned portal from the American Institute of Safety Professionals. A passing score is 70% or higher, and exam results are provided right after by email to the address provided. The exam is open-book, allowing candidates to validate their answers. Any candidates who do not pass have 1 month after their exam to go through the training materials and can take the exam 3 additional times.

The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a work site. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.
