- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Techniques for identifying and assessing combustible dust hazards in the workplace, evaluation of the potential consequences of combustible dust hazards.
- Control Measures: Engineering controls to reduce combustible dust hazards, work practices to reduce combustible dust hazards, personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and its proper use.
- Housekeeping and Clean-Up: proper cleaning methods to reduce combustible dust hazards, procedures for disposing of combustible dust.
- Combustible Dust Explosions: Understanding the causes and characteristics of combustible dust explosions, identifying and addressing potential sources of ignition, implementing measures to prevent and mitigate combustible dust explosions.
- Fire Prevention and Protection: Fire prevention and protection measures in the workplace, emergency evacuation procedures and fire drills, fire extinguisher usage and maintenance
