- Understanding of safety committee purpose and responsibilities: The program covers the purpose and responsibilities of safety committees, including their role in promoting a safe and healthy workplace.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards: The program covers the latest OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and industry best practices in safety management, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the field.
- Ability to develop and implement effective safety committees: Upon completion of the program, you will have the skills to develop and implement effective safety committees that meet the needs of your organization and its employees.
- Understanding of safety committee operations and management: You will learn how to manage and operate safety committees effectively, including how to develop agendas, conduct meetings, and report on committee activities.
- Knowledge of safety committee assessment and evaluation: The program covers the principles and practices of assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of safety committees, including how to measure the success of committee activities and identify areas for improvement.
Mode of Delivery
Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.

Training should emphasize on the following contents:
- Introduction to Safety Committees: Purpose and role of safety committees, types of safety committees, composition and membership of safety committees.
- Safety Committee Meetings and Functions: Planning and conducting effective safety committee meetings, agenda development and meeting preparation, recording and documenting meeting minutes.
- Hazard Identification and Assessment: Techniques for identifying hazards, risk assessment and control measures, reviewing and evaluating incident reports.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Root cause analysis, incident reporting and documentation, implementation of corrective actions.
- Safety Training and Education: Identifying training needs, developing and delivering training programs, evaluating the effectiveness of training.
- Safety Communication and Employee Involvement: Communicating safety information and policies, Employee participation and involvement, Building a positive safety culture.
- Compliance and Auditing: Compliance with OSH laws and regulations, auditing of the safety management system, preparing for external audits and inspections.
- Emergency Preparedness and Response: Development of emergency response plans, emergency drills and exercises, handling of emergency situations.
- Continual Improvement: Continual assessment of the safety committee's performance, implementation of improvements, measurement of the effectiveness of the committee.
- Leadership and Ethical considerations: Leadership in safety committee operations, ethical considerations in safety management.
