The course distinction is on the importance of safe practices that eliminate the hazards of walking-working surfaces slipping and collapsing, including the presentation of the requirements for ensuring safe and dry floors, proper drainage, and safe standing platforms in wet process areas. The training covers the safe load bearing capabilities of working surfaces and the collapsing hazards of walking-working surfaces and the hiking of injuries. It covers the ergonomic assessment of repetitive motion, hazardous postures, and manual lifting. It also describes the access and egress safety, including the maintenance and inspection of hazardous conditions, and the safe passage and exit routes that must be regularly corrected by qualified personnel. At the completion of this program, participants will be prepared to spot and address ergonomic and surface hazards, refine workplace design, and build a positive safety culture that prioritizes employee comfort, decreases injuries, and meets OSHA standards in the general industry, Safety in the Workplace, and avoid this general industry injuries.

Entry Requirements
This program follows global workplace health and safety standards, and is taught by industry experts. Successful students receive an American Institute of Safety Professionals accredited certificate which is recognized by several employers and regulatory bodies. Graduates receive a master certificate, course completion certificate (if applicable), an official transcript, a wallet card, and access to a professional safety network which promotes ongoing learning and career growth.
Program Duration
The program is designed to offer flexible online learning with a minimum instructional contact time of 8 hours. Most learners successfully complete the course within one month, allowing them to progress at their own pace while balancing professional commitments.
Examination
Candidates can take this exam through an assigned portal from the American Institute of Safety Professionals. A passing score is 70% or higher, and exam results are provided right after by email to the address provided. The exam is open-book, allowing candidates to validate their answers. Any candidates who do not pass have 1 month after their exam to go through the training materials and can take the exam 3 additional times.

The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a work site. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.
