- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations: The program covers the regulations and standards related to hazardous materials, including OSHA regulations, DOT regulations, and EPA regulations.
- Improved hazard identification skills: Upon completion of the program, you will have improved your ability to identify hazardous materials and the associated hazards, including the ability to recognize hazardous materials labels and placards, understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and conduct hazard assessments.
- Understanding of hazardous materials response: The program covers the fundamentals of hazardous materials response, including how to respond to hazardous materials incidents, how to contain and control hazardous materials spills, and how to evacuate affected areas safely.
